Beach Club Resort

Check out our new review of Beaches and Cream since its remodel…

When we heard about the extensive remodel that Beaches and Cream planned on going though, we knew we had to check it out. The restaurant was extended into the arcade that was previously there. The outside is still the same with the Beaches and Cream To-Go still open.

When you walk into the restaurant, you see the colorful Disney-themed paintings hanging all over the walls. There are plenty of places to sit, including counters where you can watch food being made to order.

As far as the magic goes, we were disappointed. The classic “50s” diner theme seemed to have dissipated. While months were spent remodeling, it seems that the time was spent more on the size than the magic of the restaurant’s old theme.

The food is still very good. If you’re craving grilled cheese, this is the place to go. We both ordered the grilled cheese, one with tomato bisque soup and the other with fries. This isn’t your ordinary grilled cheese. There are 6 types of cheeses which some of you may be thinking, “Isn’t that a bit overkill?” Well, it’s not overkill at all. The cheeses blend seamlessly into each other on the buttered white bread.

Along with their grilled cheese, Beaches and Cream is better known for their dessert selection…especially the “kitchen sink”.

You can’t go wrong here if you love ice cream. The Kitchen Sink is their signature dessert with every scoop of every ice cream flavor they have and almost every topping you can possibly imagine!  If you prefer something smaller, I recommend their Mickey and Minnie pants Souvenir Sinks which come with 3 flavors of ice cream and multiple toppings which is also available from their “take-out” area.
